elebrating fifty-seven years of excellence, we have given close to a million dollars in scholarships and that effort continues. In the last few program years alone, we have enjoyed partnerships with Habitat for Humanity; worked with the Kidney Foundation including a successful award-winning Black KARES program; enjoyed the Inaugural Black Family Expo bringing together medical, dental and behavioral health professionals along with a wonderful mix of healthy flavors to educate attendees; and Leadership U exposing high school students to educational opportunities and possibilities.
The Wichita (KS) Chapter won 1st place for the Central Area Director’s Program Initiative: 2025 TOTAL Literacy (Taking Opportunities to Advance Learning). These are exciting times in our Chapter and our community. With goals to continue delivering quality local programs that support the National goals of The Links, Incorporated, we continue to work to build relationships with corporations, businesses and other social organizations as we address social issues to bring about positive change strengthening communities.
